BASEMENT

These clients have recently built a new home in McLean, VA with a finished basement. After moving into new home they have decided to add a large bar in their basement. They did not want the builder to design and build an ordinary bar since we have performed a very similar project on their last residence which they we very impressed upon.

Nevertheless the objectives were simple. Impressive Bar for multi functional events, completed sooner than deadline and under budget. Isn’t that what every clients dream about!

theme had to be “ masculine and Rich” , wrapped with paneling , creating bulkheads and overhang matching outline of seating bar, with drop pendent lights.

She wanted a microwave, dishwasher, icemaker and wine cooler in the same space.

The back wall had to be featured wall for displays and fine drinks, highlighted with granite top and stone.

The flooring had to be complenting the rest of the basement hence tie with color scheme of cabinetry.

The most challenging part of this project was to bring plumbing and drainage from a 75 ft away sewer location thru busting the concrete slab and placing in ground plumbing.

Now their kids enjoy having their friends over to shoot pool and hang around the Bar, while the Father get to enjoy his Sunday’s football day with his friend and family in this space. Wife throws occasional large events and get to show off her beautiful basement. All and All a “Happy family”
