This relatively recently built home had a large kitchen, but the homeowners wanted a more dramatic kitchen, and they wanted to better utilize the breakfast room space that they did not use. As well, they had a corner pantry that took up wall space that they wanted to incorporate into the kitchen and the laundry room behind it, to increase the storage space in the laundry room/passage to the garage. They also wanted to upgrade their appliances, and add a wine refrigerator and warming tray in the island, so they could use them for serving and entertaining. We created a dramatic espresso stain cabinetry, and upscale appliances, including the wine refrigerator and warmer that they requested, but also a professional range and hood, and an espresso bar on the counter where the pantry had been. In spite of removing some space from the kitchen, we actually increased the storage space by adding a larger island and the cabinetry on the former pantry wall.
