Owning a dysfunctional kitchen layout has been this couple biggest problem with their home. They have been contemplating moving from this home, but they loved their neighborhood and kids didn’t want to give up their school.
The first-floor small laundry •room was one their top problems, another one not having a mud room to have kids land their stuff coming back from outside.
Our staff suggested to combine the existing laundry room with kitchen space and resolving their tight kitchen space issue. This was possible by the way of reducing two closets space and creating a laundry closet on second floor. That meant no more carrying dirty laundry down a flight of stairs.
Building a mudroom and relocating door from garage made it all possible.
Enlarging the south side window allowing a lot more daylight into their dark kitchen. Taking a few feet from adjacent garage made the north side to be available to place refrigerator, taller pantry and wall oven on it.
Relocating the gas cook top from middle island to east wall where laundry used to be surround with couple slim windows has opened the center of this kitchen to have big island serving as a huge serving and seating space for this busy family,
The new hardwood floors created a seamless connection with rest of the open floor plan home.
After getting rid of bulkheads and rerouting plumbing and ductwork inside of them, made it possible to use tall and display glass cabinetry.
Complimenting counter top with-soft tone cabinetry and a contrast with wide plank hardwood floor, all contributed to final look of this beautiful kitchen,
Stunning backsplash and glass tiles behind cooktop have made the focal point of this kitchen.
Moving was no longer an option for this family, they love their new kitchen and enjoying every minute
Better traffic flow, lot more amenities. Open floor plan, lot sore storage and the list goes on and on, she said I love it all.
