This young couple recently purchased an older rambler home in an upcoming Arlington neighborhood. They were hoping to join the neighborhood boom and explore a larger scale two-story home with contemporary amenities and an Arts & Craft exterior.
This home was located on a hill and had a good potential of showing off its front elevation. Adding a garage space and side balcony off the study has been on the top of their wish list.
Tearing out the old roof, raising up the first-floor ceiling to 9 feet, implementing a new staircase to the second floor and basement, and ripping out all of the interior first floor walls to create an open floor plan layout were all essential parts of this revamp project.
A new second story four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, laundry room was added over the old structure. The 9-foot ceiling, Master bedroom suite with tall windows, a master suite bath covered in white Carrera tile is to die for. The freestanding tub, large scale shower stall with multi-body sprays, and private commode area have been a delight to the homeowners.
A master bedroom equipped with a custom-made closet system has been one of the homeowners’ dreams.
The second floor equipped with a second floor HVAC system and a laundry closet in addition to their basement laundry room has made daily chores simpler.
The Jack and Jill bathroom and guest bathroom with classic subway style tile and black and white mosaics flooring made these spaces timeless.

A 10-feet wide custom glass front door with denim blue Hardie plank siding, black windows, and white trim made this home stand out among all homes in this neighborhood.
The basement was totally revamped with a new mudroom area from the garage. We converted the old garage to a guest bedroom and added an e-grass window and a basement bathroom. We also made an open floor plan gaming area for the two youngsters. The basement also has a bar area with dark blue cabinetry, white marble, and complimentary black floor tiles, giving them a cozy yet comfortable guest quarter. New hot water heater, new furnace and a large pantry space with built-ins made them super excited about this basement.

Also, the new kitchen facing the beautiful backyard with professional scale appliances, pot filler, a large-scale middle island, mosaic tile backsplash has just made this house a home for ever.
