1960 ramble in Mount Vernon area owned into an unfinished basement for years. .
With their extended family and new grand kids, the owner were running out of space and needed the additional guest room and bathroom and play area.
The basement had low ceiling and lots of ducts and plumbing hanging low. They all had to be removed and rerouted to allow head room. A new e-grass window was designed and added to allow a Bedroom in basement.
A full bath with full shower and glass block enclosure was put in place. Separate laundry area was created. New fireplace was added in main area. Lots of lighting was added into space.
A section with cabinetry and wet bar with fridge was designed on portion of basement. The theme was contemporary and eclectic . There were couple of half walls with glass block to separate seating area from play area. The homeowners are happy about the new space and its multipurpose of it.
