This 2008 single family home has been occupied with young and fast-growing family of five in Ashburn, VA, eagerly looking into finishing up their unfinished basement.
She had a very different and unique list of demand for this large unfinished space. The high 9 ½ feet ceiling was a plus to create a multipurpose living space.
Her demands were as follow:
➢ A guest bedroom for in-laws with large closet and desk area, e-grass window
➢ A new gym
➢ A large living space, with built ins, gas fireplace and full wall of stones,
➢ A dramatic dark pub-style bar covered with dark cherry wood, corbels, wrapped with veneer stone. (This was actually the husband demand), equipped with sink, dishwasher two fridges, microwave and exotic dark granite
➢ A large built space for kids’ homework area and wrapped with cabinetry
➢ LVT floors for a seamless concoction
➢ Opening up the staircase to main level to have an open flow
➢ A ne large all marble bathroom, walk in shower and light color vanities under gorgeous sconces
➢ Large molding and trims,
➢ Lots of recess lighting and wall sconces, exquisite pendent lights over the large center Island if this magnificent bar
➢ French door entering the gym. One wall covered with Mirror
➢ Lots of closet and storage spaces.
➢ Three accent walls covered with matching veneer stone walls for continuity of design and lifestyle.
Well, guess what? We DID IT! We brought all of her and his wishes to reality.

They have been living it up, entertaining large group parties, and setting up for upcoming Halloween party “my children can’t be happier to have friends over and party down her” that is what she expressed. But my money is on him have his buddies over to football Sundays and gather around his prized bar.
