Basement
Basement
Military couple just took ownership of a single family home in Ashburn suburb. The basement was partially finished but was not what they imagined it to be.
Being stationed in Germany for couple years they have collected various beer mugs, wines and decorative pieces which they were proud of them and wished to display them.
We have proposed an old Pub look for the basement bar and cellar project.
The bar was redesigned with dark cherry cabinetry and multiple fridge and beer tap, glass cabinetry, tall panel walls and four hanging pendent lights.
Added recess lights and speaker system and surround sound was part of details of this project
Use of old flagstone look with random sizes in bar and cellar, and wide distressed engineered wood floor in the rest of basement contributed more to the old Pub look
An angle corner hutch was place for high priced liquor and prized German souvenirs.
Now it come the wine cellar, we have relocated the HVAC and water heater from unfinished part of storage area behind the bar area and create a 7’x12’ room to be the new Wine cellar.
Through use a split chiller system connected with existing HVAC system and thermostatic controller we made the wine cooler a new home for 1200 collected wine bottles.
With New Redwood custom wine racking and a custom wine cellar door now this couple can show off their collection and relive the memories of their Germanys days.
