When George and Rima Bitar bought their 1990’s-era home on a cul-de-sac in McLean, they were drawn to its spacious lot and swimming pool. The house was, however, well past its prime. The floorplan was a maze; the kitchen needed a better flow, a facelift and new appliances; the master bedroom was tired and uninviting; fluted columns and dark finishes conveyed a dated vibe; and poor lighting throughout made the interiors feel dark and drab.
The Bitars had been looking for a larger, move-in-ready residence, but they loved the neighborhood and could see the home’s potential. After interviewing several contractors, they tapped Michael Nash Design, Build & Homes for a dramatic, whole-house remodel that would address the home’s myriad issues while retaining its best features.
