2009 QR Master Design Award Finalist Award Winner

This award winning bath was a long awaited gift for these homeowners to themselves. They wanted a dramatic master bath that they could use as they got older. They wanted to enlarge it and add a larger shower and tub. We moved the walls back and out to enlarge the space for the new shower and raised Jacuzzi tub. We replaced the window with a glass block opening surrounded with the green marble which we covered the walls with right up to the ceiling! The large shower has room for both of them to shower, with two shower heads. The larger space gave us room for a private space for the toilet and an additional double window. We created dual vanities, with an undulating height, to make it interesting and delineate the his and hers spaces. Each one has a mirror as well as plenty of storage. There is additional storage along the wall. Glass block is echoed in the toilet area at the end of the vanity. The entire room is tiled in the green marble, and the fixtures in gold make a nice contrast to the dark marble. The additional windows help keep the space nice and bright.
