This 2002 Single family home is owned by a couple eager to convert their deficient sunroom into a very unique and exquisite space to spend time and have a cabin’s style feel for it. And introducing an aesthetically appealing nature-inspired feel for this space.
This Sunroom was small, was leaky and not air tight, air circulation was very weak, and not having enough light.
It all started by busting through old Sunroom and build out a new much larger sunroom over concrete foundation. This New addition was built with much higher vaulted ceiling, lots of windows, green implemented insulated vinyl siding, New HVAC system and lots more amenities. Building with reclaim lumber and eco-friendly products was the main goal for all of us.
The New high efficiency HVAC heat pump has contributed to more that 50% more efficiency.
We have installed new energy saving and Low-E tall windows and transoms allowing a lot more day lights while contributing to energy saving act for this project.
Install exotic wide plank wood flooring.

Furnish & install Reclaimed wood beams to give it log-style cabin look.
Wrapped in veneer stones floor to ceiling is one the most eye-catching highlights on this increasable sun room.
Installing a large linear electric fireplace in heart of the stone wall has brought a warm feel into this space.
High cathedral ceiling, wood-stained beams and two large chandeliers, and a very big ass ceiling fan have contributed to beauty of this logged looking space.
Wrapped in a high-end closed foam insulation has made this space air tight and energy efficient. The insulated siding, replacement with high level of double pain windows and French door are another example of air tight energy envelope this this green project.
We have used sustainable lighting that reduces the energy bill. Embracing sunlight on all time of day made this room as bright and most energy efficient than rest of the house.
We have installed larger gutters and down spouts and ran underground French drain to keep moisture as far away from structure as possible.
The multifunctional use of this new room has given the family all a very different but positive and soothing ways for their daily activities.
We have tried to provide all materials from local quarry and reclaimed wood shops for this project. By taking all these measures we have taken a lot of steps toward a healthy, eco-friendly and green space which an brought them a deep sense of fulfillment.
