Single family colonial home built in 1980′s has a kitchen with no new amenities, and tucked away on far corner of the house. Homeowners want to open up the entire first floor lay-out and modernize their old they have modern taste on the furniture and wanted to carry that as well into the rest of the house design.
*We began with removing two major bearing walls one separating front hall from family room and the other separating kitchen and family room.
*Relocating powder room door and repositioning facilities into foyer made this transition even more possible.
*A major route of duct work was relocated and the closet space also for foyer coat closet.
*The left wall of family room was extended by 24″ into adjacent bedroom giving more room to family room.
*The entire first floor from front door, leading hallway, family room and the kitchen has new light beach flooring that opens up the floor plan tremendously.
*By positioning a three wing seating island with stove in it looking into family room newly stoned fireplace and LCD TV above, client gets to enjoy company while preparing meals.
*Appliances have been moved around in a fashion that from every doorway you will see an open floor pan.
*Use of contemporary European cabinetry and deep blue matrix granite along with touch of cobalt blue lights and accents are some highlights of this project.
*Extended recess lights, pendent light throughout the house made this project all lot brighter.
We have delivered a totally bright and contemporary style first floor. Now Client has a view of back yard and a total soft tone contemporary interior to brag.
