Customer wanted a bigger breakfast area, with a more function and expanded kitchen, better layout, and a sun room.
The old deck was not desirable and did not fit their life style, the old Jacuzzi was waster and unattractive.
Planning a wedding for their son and hosting the reception with enough space to entertain the entire guests at the house.
Design team suggested demolition of deck and create a techno style stone patio with a water feature on corner to view from new sunroom and family room
A short wall all around with matching stone and decorative light on perimeter are high light of this project.
Also replacing the old deck with new addition that can expansion of kitchen, breakfast room as well as sun room use.
Focusing of long panoramic backyard scenic view and directing all interior attention toward it was a main agenda of design team.
A 14’x 22’ addition over concrete foundation to match rest of the house with matching siding
Side French door leading to angular deck to go down few steps and into new 26’x36’ stone patio
Couple of large windows views the backyards large landscaping and right windows allowing western sunlight to get in for daylight

Use of matching hardwood floors in old kitchen and new addition has connected the whole first floor as big flow of space

Extending kitchen into new addition by 3 ft and re-arrangement of all kitchen component
Eliminating corner old pantry all made a big island in center possible, as well as better traffic flow, better accommodation of appliances, more storage, and accessibility.
Add lighting, such as pendent light, under cabinet light, recess lights, zone lighting made the project even more interesting
Choice of warm cherry cabinetry with exotic stone counter and upscale appliances
Detailed molding and limestone back splash are few of beauties used in this kitchen
Overall the client’s satisfaction was achieved with a new spacious kitchen, breakfast area and sunroom.
