This kitchen in a townhouse with a lovely view of a lake, cut off the view with it’s walls and doorways, so we opened up the corner to the diningroom and livingroom areas on the lake side, and also opened up the other side to the sliding glass doors to the patio, giving it natural light in the morning and evening. We also built the appliances into the opposite wall, and installed a large bookshelf area that the homeowner requested. We also put in a tumbled tile backsplash and tile floor, and a peninsula for eating breakfast.
