Smaller kitchens tend to be more challenging, to make sure we get the space and the traffic flow right. In the case of this tiny kitchen, we moved the corner wall a bit back to make more space for two of the entrances, the one from the dining area and the foyer. We relocated the refrigerator next to the sink, and installed a small peninsula to satisfy the wife’s request to prevent onlookers from getting too close to her when she’s cooking on the stove. Now they can chat from a friendly distance while leaning on the counter. The colors are bright to keep the space feeling large and open, and the stainless steel and tan tones of the granite counter tops help keep that going.
