Whole House – 2301

This 1980’s single family home in Ashburn, VA has been recently purchased by a young family. Their desire to renovate the entire home and move toward a more upscale and modern era from its original builder grade products was their essential reasoning for this purchase.

There were several load bearings walls and beam that was an obvious visual separation of space and they wanted it all gone.

The beam and post separating sunroom from kitchen have been a big barrier to expand the kitchen and our first course of action was to get ride of it. This enabled us to enlarge the kitchen and implement a large island with lots of amenities. A gorgeous slab of dark granite took over the background of this kitchen complementing the dark slate color Island. We have created a long stretch of butler area with more cabinetry, beverage center and entertaining option of adjacent family room.

Our design staff have come up with lots of intrigant lighting designs which is the center stage of this project.

New wide plank flooring throughout the home along with refacing existing staircase to match and new rod iron rails are just to name of few.

Entry through New glass front door into an all-marble foyer and exquisite hanging chandelier is breath taking.

The old wood burning fireplace and adjacent built ins in family room was taken out and replaced with a long linear gas fireplace and floor to ceiling modern porcelain tile. Just amazing.

Almost every inch of this home was transformed in one way or another. Window above the old sink was taken out to create a long stretch of counter and space for cooktop and hood.

Old shape closet and small mudroom was converted to locker style mudroom with lots of storage and cabinet space with new path from garage into first level.

The stunning birds eye view from second floor balcony to entire first floor is breath taking, The extra ordinary number of challenges to achieve this unique outcome was a lot but worth it. The couple are so amazed with we delivered to them that they can’t wait to have their entire family over to show off their new home.
