Whole House – 2302

This colonial 1975 home located in 10 acres private wooded lot in Clifton, VA has been home to this busy family of five since day one.

Their willingness to gut the entire home and revamp with new color schemes, open up all interior walls, new windows, new floors, and lots more has driven them to approach our group and put together new plans.

Their ultimate goal is open up the compartment zed old layout to an all-open floor plan, that meant take down lots of load bearing walls and insert steel beams, relocate mechanical and plumbing stack to achieve these goals.

The sunroom was opened up the back of the house to expand the kitchen into this space, new kitchen is laid out with two large Island, all wrapped up with exotic imported Azul marbles. Imbedded hood inside the ceiling, upscale appliances, 5″ wide hardwood floor throughout.

We have designed coffered ceiling on entire space, covered the old family room fireplace with matching exotic stone.

New lighting was installed throughout the home, upscale crystal chandeliers and pendent lights have spruced up this main level above everyone expectations.

Reface two fireplace in living room & family room with exotic fusion quartzite.

She has loved the unique denim blue tones and wanted to be used on bathroom tiles, and anywhere we could use splash of this color.

The laundry room was relocated from basement to first level, this was a big plus for her. Powder room was relocated and enlarged to adjacent wasted space behind it.

From the front door to the back wall to wall windows overlooking the equestrian landscape, the transformation of this home has made this project jewel of their neighborhood.

Challenges of this project, has been low ceiling, lots of bearing walls, old electrical and plumbing, converting old galley kitchen to state of art Cosine.

A featured wall of China with wine racks and background of granite stands tall in midst of this kitchen. She is amazed by this huge transformation and loves to entertain and shows off her new home to friends and family. ” I love to cook and spend lots of time in my New kitchen” that is what she wrote.
